Here at Blue Sky Fostering, we pay our carers on a fortnightly basis. 

Contributing to your state pension - As a foster carer, you are eligible for National Insurance (NI) credits, which contribute towards your basic and additional state pensions. You can apply for a National Insurance credit for each week you are approved as a foster carer.

In general, the foster allowance is calculated based on the number of children or young people you are caring for.

Fostering allowances are not considered income for the purposes of calculating benefits like as income support, working tax credits, child tax credits, housing benefits, council tax reduction, and universal credit.
