Welcome to Blue Sky Fostering

Improving Outcomes for Foster Children

Across the UK there are an estimated 64,000 children in the care system. Over 44,000 of these children and young people are in foster care. The majority are aged between 10 and 15 with the need for foster carers increasing each year. There is currently a shortage of 10,000 foster carers nationwide.

Blue Sky Fostering was established in 2005 to address this need in the south of England. Since then we have built a reputation for excellence providing extensive training and support throughout the challenges of being a professional foster carer. Working together with our foster carers we believe we can help every child reach their full potential regardless of their previous life experiences.

We have been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in two consecutive reports in 2008 and 2011. Our most recent Ofsted report rates us as Outstanding in every possible category which is a testament to our highly motivated and successful foster carers and our desire to continue to improve outcomes for looked after children and young people. Only a handful of fostering agencies have achieved this so we are very proud of our success.

The type of youngsters we look after are mainly teenagers but also younger children, sibling groups and parent and child fostering placements in some areas.

We are always looking for determined and committed foster families who can provide a safe and stable foster home in these areas:

  • Hampshire
  • Berkshire
  • Dorset
  • South Gloucestershire
  • East Sussex
  • South London
  • Surrey
  • North Somerset
  • West Sussex
  • Wiltshire
If you live in one of these areas and would like to enquire about becoming a foster carer call us on 0845 6076697 or book a place on one of our free one-day Introduction to Fostering courses or make an enquiry.
