Where shall we start?!
Alongside the generous foster carer allowance, paid respite and a comprehensive on-call system, we invest in our carers, their families and our staff. We know training is of the utmost importance in ensuring everyone receives and delivers the best possible care. We offer training to foster carers, their own children, foster children and staff. In addition to this, we are very proud to say we were the first independent fostering provider in England to be awarded the licence to provide the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
We’re accredited as a ‘Preferred Provider’ with over 20 Local Authorities in the South of England and that means we’re amongst the first to hear about children and young people in need of a foster home. Being accredited by local authorities is immensely important to us as it means they trust us and in fostering, trust is vital.
We suppose our most valued testimonies are that Blue Sky is still owned and managed by its founders and many of the staff and foster carers who joined in those early years remain with us.
We’re totally independent, totally local and totally committed to everyone involved with us.
Why not pop along to one of our events. They’re held across the Blue Sky region and could be the most beneficial two hours you’ve spent in a while! They’re a chance to meet one of our foster carers, chat with staff and ask any questions on any aspect of fostering.
Did we mention...?
We’re delighted to have been Ofsted’s ‘Outstanding’ status on four consecutive occasions! Obviously, we are very proud of this as it reflects our continued commitment and enthusiasm to change young lives. Read the report by clicking here.
