Still apprehensive about an Apprenticeship?
After introducing you to our apprentice's Abbey and Chloe in our previous article, we'd like to acquaint you with our most recent apprentice, Liam Hughes. Liam is just one of the 491,300 apprentices in the UK to begin their courses in 2017 and is one of the 90% of apprentices that follow into work or further training. Liam is Blue Sky Fostering's third apprentice to date and for the past year, has been working with us as a Marketing Apprentice. Liam has since blossomed in his career and we've seen for ourselves again, just how beneficial apprenticeships are for both our apprentices and for our organisation.
After studying Performing Arts, Psychology and Media at college and working part-time, Liam joined us as part of a Business Admin Apprenticeship through Fareport Apprenticeships.
“I really enjoyed my apprenticeship, it has allowed me to get a job down the career path I wanted straight away whilst being able to improve my skills and earn money. I have enjoyed every single day working here and I am very pleased to be a permanent member of staff as a result of completing the course. I feel extremely lucky because everyone here is incredibly friendly and supported me throughout my apprenticeship, and with the skills I have learnt, I can continue to learn more and help others whenever possible.”
Liam decided to join us as a permanent member of staff after completion of his apprenticeship. He now works as a Marketing Assistant, supporting the awareness of Blue Sky Fostering and taking part in a variety of marketing activities. (He's also known for making a great cup of tea!)
