In a bid to bring the local community together, our Ringwood hub held its first Pamper Day for its Foster Carers on Friday 22nd June.
Blue Sky Foster Carer, Mandy Sexton arranged the day which involved local beauty businesses and local Foster Carer beauty reps coming together to offer their products and services to Foster Carers.
Blue Sky’s Ringwood office was transformed into a beauty lounge for a day, bustling with relaxed Foster Carers, a pop-up nail bar, sugaring table, product and accessory stands. Foster Carer and Body Shop Rep, Amanda Mauger-Jones, Jane Popperwell from Tropics, Jenny Poole from Sweet Beauty and Wendy Voss from Silky Sweet Sugaring and Nails were among the businesses involved, some of which even donated their fee to a charity of their choice.
Blue Sky Foster Child, ‘C’ was also on a mission to raise some cash and sent in his homemade cakes to sell for a donation to the RSPCA.
Blue Sky Foster Carer and organiser Mandy says:
“It’s a chance for the Foster Carers to enjoy a reward for all they do. It brings together local services and the local community and we hope it will be a success.”
The event demonstrates Blue Sky’s culture of bringing people together and making Foster Carers feel supported and appreciated and is one the company hope to repeat.
