Blue Sky Fostering has hosted its second annual Family Fun Day.
The event, organised and funded by Blue Sky, is aimed at bringing together the Blue Sky family, from across the south coast. This year, Foster Carers, their families, foster children, Blue Sky staff and their families all came together for the day to join in the fun and enjoy the activities.
The day saw live bands and bubble displays, and included plenty of activities for all. A mix of inflatables, rock climbing and a small petting zoo kept everyone entertained. Food and coffee stalls were also enjoyed, including an ice-cream van and a bicycle smoothie maker!
A particular highlight from the day saw Blue Sky staff, including CEO Simon Lockyer, locked in the stocks! The team bravely took on a barrage of wet sponges being thrown at their faces from our young people, soaking them in the process – all in the name of raising money for our chosen charity Child’s i Foundation of course!
Blue Sky’s Founder and CEO, Simon Lockyer says:
“Blue Sky isn’t an organisation you join, it’s a family where you belong, that’s why every year the whole Blue Sky family comes together for our annual fun day. It’s the one day a year where all our carers, colleagues, young people and extended family members connect and get to know each other better, over food and fun activities.”
Blue Sky Fostering is proud to provide events such as the family fun day, not only to bring everyone together, but to give children and young people in care a sense of inclusion and belonging.
