Foster Carers in Devon
Now's a great time to transfer to Blue Sky
Why Transfer to Blue Sky?
Blue Sky Fostering was established in 2005 to address the shortage of foster carers in the South of England. From the outset we decided that Blue Sky Fostering would become established enough to offer security but small enough to still offer the personal touch often missing from larger foster agencies. This has allowed us to provide a friendly, supportive and professional service to all of our foster carers across the Blue Sky region.
We now have teams of social workers based in the south of England including our South West Team who are based in our offices in Plymouth (Ivybridge) and Bristol. We cover a wide range of fostering types including long and short term fostering and specialist fostering including Parent & Child fostering and Therapeutic Fostering. Our nearest office is in Plymouth; however we hold local support groups and training across the county.
Are you looking to transfer in the Devon area?
Sometimes we all need a change. Maybe you are looking for a new challenge or maybe you have become disillusioned with your current agency. Whatever your reason for visiting the Blue Sky Fostering website, be assured that as a Foster Carer you have the right to move to another agency.
Blue Sky is highly experienced in managing the transfer process on your behalf. We know from experience that you will be anxious about changing; concerned you may be jumping from the frying pan to the fire, daunted by having to go through the process again, or you maybe concerned about how it might affect you financially and the placement of the children in your care.
Blue Sky has a very competitive allowance scheme, and in many cases you will be financially better off moving on to our allowances and benefits. If you do have children currently placed with you, a Protocol Meeting will be arranged early in the process to discuss the needs of the children in your care and what services Blue Sky needs to continue to deliver. As a Tier 1 Preferred Provider with the majority of Local Authorities across the South, Blue Sky is highly regarded and will often already be personally known to your child’s Local Authority and Social Worker.
