The Blue Sky Education Department exists to support and when required, guide and advise, all Carers and Supervising Social Workers regarding any educational matters associated with a child or young person

A Supervising Social Worker or the Education Lead will try to be available to attend school or college meetings when required.

Helping Children to Learn

There are many things that you can do to help a child to learn. Here are some which can be done on a regular basis.

  • Encourage regular school attendance
  • Attend school events
  • Encourage hobbies and leisure activities
  • Support them with homework and reading
  • Notice and help if they are having difficulties
  • Have high expectations of them
  • Positively promote the value of education
