I joined Blue Sky on the 18 April 2016.
As a Supervising Social Worker with Blue Sky my role is to support foster carers and their families, enabling them to provide the best possible care to the children they look after. I work closely with Local Authorities and other professionals to ensure that the needs of looked after children are identified and met.
Developing relationships with looked after children and their foster families and observing the children thrive and achieve is something that makes me proud to do my job. I love working for Blue Sky because of the children, the foster families and my colleagues!
I started my career in social care working within a residential unit for young people aged 12-18 years, before going on to undertake stautory work with children and families within the Local Authority. Since 2002, I have worked within the independent fostering sector in a variety of roles, assessing, training and supporting foster carers.
