Across England there are an estimated 60,000 children in the care system. Over 42,000 of these children and young people are in foster care. The majority are aged between 10 and 15. the need for foster carers is increasing each year.

At Blue Sky Fostering we treat every child and young person as a special individual and we seek to bring out the best in each person by providing outstanding care and support.

Early on we decided to become large enough to offer security to our foster carers, children and staff, but small enough to ensure we never lose our family feel and good communication.

As a Blue Sky Foster Carer you will join a friendly and supportive team of carers and staff and benefit from:

• An allowance of £378 per week, per child and paid on time.
• 14 days paid holiday (respite) per year.
• Training in all aspects of looking after troubled children.
• Phone calls and visits from your own social worker as regularly as needed.
• Monthly supervision sessions with your social worker.
• Monthly steam meetings with a small group of like minded people.
• Family outings and social events for all foster carers, children in the family and staff.
• Day care support when caring for a child out of school.
• Birth children support groups and activities.
• Access to a social worker who knows about you and your placement, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
