I am responsible for picking up all the enquiries from prospective Foster Carers. I go out and meet them if they meet the criteria for an Initial Home Visit, I then write up reports and, if suitable, I invite them to apply to Blue Sky and follow the process through with them. I am also actively involved in organising Recruitment Events and Training Events.
I love meeting all the prospective carers and I very much enjoy seeing the whole process through from the Initial Home Visit through to the application process through to the Skills to Fostering Course and even through to their first placement! The best bit about working for Blue Sky is the team!! Everyone is very supportive and helpful, and I do feel that we are all working towards the common aim of making a difference to the Young People that come into our care.
I have previsouly worked for an IFA (Independent Fostering Agency), and have always enjoyed this work. Prior to that I trained as a Part Qualified Accountant and have done worked in a range of accountancy roles, in addition to various roles over the years including Project Management.
